In order to receive home health care, you must experience taxing effort to leave your home. Absences from the home should be for short periods of time and infrequent. The care you require must be skilled in nature and by a skilled medical professional.
The care you require must be intermittent. This means the care you receive must be more than one visit, and a reasonable level of rehabilitation can be expected with treatment.
Your doctor, family, friends, or anyone can refer a patient for home care. Insurance companies, nursing homes, hospitals, and rehab units may also make referrals.
